June lives in and is from Houston, TX with South/Southeast Asian roots. She was raised in a Thai and Chicano household. Her step-father got her a point-and-shoot for her 8th grad graduation and her first DSLR during her freshman year of college at the University of Texas. He influenced her love of photography, community-building and documenting cultural placemaking. Her artistic practice is at the intersection of civic advocacy, cultural commentary, fashion and abstract art.

During her time at UT Austin, she earned her BA in International Relations and Global Studies with a minor in Latin American Studies and a focus on culture, media and arts. She participated in the College of Liberal Arts Digital Storytelling Seminar in 2014 to grow a familiarity with the tools and workflows in filmmaking.

Her professional career began in working marcom and event support roles in nonprofits she crossed into professional services in 2022 and is a B2B marketing professional who focuses on organic activation strategies for paid campaigns, data and analytics reporting and video or asset production. She is a leader in a corporate social responsibility initiative mentoring local high school students and participates in the minority resource groups’ activities.
